1956 - 2023

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving husband, dad and papa, Gerald “Gerry” Langevin on December 18, 2023 at the age of 67 years.

Gerry was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Celeste and Joseph Langevin and grew up in St. Albert alongside his three brothers. He excelled in sports, and played Junior Hockey in Bellingham, WA before moving back home to St. Albert to begin his studies. Gerry attended the University of Alberta where he completed an education degree and met the love of his life Debbie, before embarking on a 31 year teaching career.

Gerry began teaching in Lac La Biche, AB where he and Debbie married before moving back to St. Albert. They both taught in the Greater St. Albert Catholic School Division, grew their family and set deep roots in the community, all while sharing 42 beautiful years of marriage. After retiring from teaching, he spent his years joyfully working at AHS as a driver, bringing him much fulfillment.

Gerry was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Celeste, and his nephew Carlos. He was also predeceased by his beloved in-laws, Andy and Mary Kaufman.

Gerry is survived by his wife, Debbie; son Bryan (Irene); daughter Janelle (Max); and grand daughters, Ava and Aubrey. Gerry is also survived by his three brothers: Denis (Yolanda), James (Rose Anne), and Robert (Joan); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Cremation has taken place and a Catholic Funeral Mass will take place at a future time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cross Cancer Institute that provided Gerry the care and comfort he so appreciated in his final days, or Hope Mission, a charity dear to his heart.

Arrangements entrusted to Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home.
