1925 - 2024
The family of Beatrice (Bette) Klein is saddened to announce her passing on April 27, 2024 in St. Albert, Alberta at the age of 98.
Bette will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Steve (Lina), Ian (Louise) and Jonathan (Sheila), daughter-in-law (Bev), seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Leonard (Len), and their son Joel.
She was born in Vancouver, and raised in Victoria and Edmonton. She met the love of her life, Len, in Toronto. They lived in Winnipeg, England, Ottawa and settled finally in St. Albert.
She enjoyed spending time with family, travelling, volunteering, being an active member of Beta Sigma Phi and gardening. She loved shoes and her mushroom jacket (not a sweater!).
She cherished her visits and telephone calls with family members.
She was independent to the end.
Thank you to the staff at Chartwell St. Albert, Dr. Tanner Redel, and Janet (personal trainer) for Bette’s care and comfort. She always enjoyed having conversations with all of you. To the residents of Chartwell St. Albert, thank you for your kind words.
At Bette’s request, there will be no formal service. If desired, tribute donations in Bette’s name, can be made to the LoSeCa Foundation.
