On July 17, 2023, Judith Patricia Jenkins passed peacefully from this world with her children by her side.

Judy was a wife to Gary Jenkins, a mother to Kim LeBlanc (Neil) and Brent Jenkins (Lauren), a grandmother to Emma, James, Callie and Lucie, a sister to Linda Wagar (Gary) and Elizabeth Middleton (Jack), aunt to many, sister-in-law to Keith Jenkins (Audrey), niece to George Reed, and a daughter to Dora May Reed. Judy was born on June 3, 1951, in Wainwright, Alberta.  Her family soon moved to Edmonton, Alberta where Judy would enjoy her childhood years surrounded by friends and family.

It was in Edmonton that Judy met the love of her life Gary.  As a young couple they moved to Inuvik, NWT, then to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and finally settled back in Alberta to raise their family.  They made many friends along the way but were happy to be back home close to their loved ones.

Judy was caring and compassionate and would help any person (or animal) in need.  She spent many years rescuing pets and giving them the love she believed they all deserved.   Her kindness so touched many lives.  Judy loved crafting, music, and old movies, but nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren. Judy’s love for her family was endless and will be forever in their hearts.

Judy will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all. Friends and family may find peace knowing that she is free and now at rest with her husband, pets, and loved ones who passed before her.

Memorial donations can be made in Judith Jenkins’ name to The Alberta Cancer Foundation https://www.albertacancer.ca/donate.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at The Grey Nuns Palliative Care Unit and Foyer Lacombe for their incredible care and compassion.
