Isobel “Jean” Thornton age 83, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, January 6, 2020. She was married 53 years to Mervin Thornton until his passing and is survived by her two children; Chris & Shawn, daughter-in-law; Jennifer, granddaughter; Mackenzie, sister-in-law, nephew, nieces & cousins.
She enjoyed 35 years of teaching as well as gardening, book club, STARTA, toe-tapping to music, keeping warm and spending time with her friends, church community, and family. In her final days, Jean was surrounded by people who loved her and she will be deeply missed by many.
A private service will be held for Jean and she will be laid to rest with her husband, Mervin at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum.
