It is with profound sadness that the family of Sharon Henry announce her passing on August 13 at the age of 77. Words can not express our tremendous loss. Sharon was a vibrant soul that touched many lives. She will be remembered by many, and especially remembered for her kind heart, generosity, laughter, and beautiful smile.
Sharon leaves behind her two children Renee and Tyron-Marc, daughter-in-law, Hafsah and her grandson Xavier. She is also survived by her sisters, Pamela, Jennifer, Gloria, Gemma and her brother Stephen.
Sharon was predeceased by her father Henry Francis Casimir and two mothers Monica Casimir and Celestina Scott-Casimir. Brothers, Trevor, Glen, Goddard and Kelvin, and sister Annette.
Sharon discovered her love for sewing at the age of 6 years old while residing in Trinidad and Tobago. She moved to New York in 1966 and completed design school. In 1969 she married Ken Henry and moved to Edmonton and later relocated to St. Albert where she opened her dressmaking business. Sharon had a deep passion for sewing and design and created hundreds of customized design clothing for her clientele in Alberta and across Canada. She was a highly talented designer and dressmaker. She will forever be remembered in the community owning Sharon's Dressmaking in St. Albert for 45 years until she retired in 2021.
In accordance with Sharon's wishes, a Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, August 21 at 11:00 am in Holy Family Parish, 75 Poirier Ave, St. Albert, AB with a Visitation 1 hour prior to her service. Cremation will follow and interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Kidney Foundation.
