Fern Doris (Alm) GOUCHEY
December 20, 1931- June 26, 2025
In sorrow, we announce the passing of our Mom, Fern. She played many roles in life including: teacher, respected family elder, and Northern Alberta farmgirl. Mom knew hard work and determination, loyalty and love. Mom touched and inspired many lives and we are privileged to have had her for as long as we did.
Fern was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Roy, two infant sons, Rodney and Jay, parents Ed and Ella and brother Roy.
Fern is survived by brother Gene (Chris), children Rod (Debbie), Gayle (Darcy), Jady (Stan) and Pablo (Naho), grandchildren Troy and Chelsea Gouchey, Dustin, Tyson and Jesse (Chey) Purdon and Jory (Ozge), Kelby (Dani) and Kass Hagen, great grandchildren Nash and Trip Purdon and Wes Hagen as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Many thanks to Dr. LaBuick, her dialysis team and her loyal caregivers. Your dedication to Fern’s well-being was greatly appreciated.
