Diane Mary Gorman (nee Nicholson) passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Wayne Gorman; brothers, Charles (Debra) Nicholson, George (Jane) Nicholson, Barry (Lorie) Nicholson, and Roderick Nicholson; sister, Lynne Nicholson as well as her many nieces and nephews. Diane will be deeply missed by her two sons, Jason (Fabienne) and Matthew (Tara); as well as her grandchildren, Paige (Ty), Britni (Tra), Tyson, Madison, Lynden, Bailey, Mckenna, and Ava; and great-grandchildren, Carson and Jaxon.
Diane grew up in Ottawa, Ontario, met her lifelong love, Wayne, in Germany and lived in Ontario before moving to Alberta to raise their family. She could be found watching her son’s hockey games and later cheering on her grandchildren and great-grandson. Diane was actively involved in the community of St. Albert. She belonged to an international women’s organization, a sorority called BETA SIGMA PHI, for 50 years and was a sister in the Laureate Alpha Delta Chapter. As we mourn a beautiful person in our lives, the family would like to thank the staff at the Sturgeon Community Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 in St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.
