It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gerald “Gerry” Gorgichuk on Monday, March 27, 2023, at the age of 73 years.

Gerry is survived by his wife, Val; children, Brad (Jen) and Tara (Jason); grandchildren, Kalyna, Quinn, Adyson, Rylan and Easton; siblings, Nancy (Henry) Childers, Bob (Jo) Gorgichuk and Eugene (Sue) Gorgichuk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, George and Belle; siblings, Melvin Gorgichuk, Elsie Lazaruk, Lillian Kraft and Dianne Yadlowski; along with other close family members.

Gerry worked for the Royal Bank for 35 years as well as being a long-time service member for many community groups, especially the Lions Club. An avid outdoorsman, Gerry could often be found hunting, fishing or on some other outdoor adventure. Of course, we would be remiss if we did not mention his love of the Oilers and other sports. Above all, Gerry was a family man and was extremely active in his children’s and grandchildren’s many sports and activities.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather. Gerry, you will be forever missed.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 3, 2023, at 11 a.m. at North Pointe Community Church, 14025 - 167 Avenue NW, Edmonton.
