Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, teacher, historian, Second World War veteran, opera aficionado, world traveler and proud Franco-Albertan. He encouraged adventure and travel, knowledge and academics, culture and music in our family. At the age of 97, and after a very full life, he passed away while at the place he loved most, his cabin at Lac La Nonne. He will be dearly missed by his Loving wife of 72 years, Thérèse Cournoyer (née Croteau); children: Rachelle Cournoyer (Peter), Raymond Cournoyer (Karen), Denis Cournoyer (Maggie), Pierre Cournoyer (Kathie), Irene Guidos, Louise Neufeld (Cameron), Daniel Cournoyer (Julie); grandchildren: Nicole, Georges, Tess, Gabrielle, Geneviève, Jocelyne, Megan, David, Madeleine, Matthew, Emilie, Daniel, Jacqueline, Natalie, Paul, Katherine and great grandchildren; Benjamin and Sebastien.
