In Loving Memory of Carrol Lynn Clarke (née Woolley)

It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life of love that we announce the passing of our beautiful mom, Carrol Lynn Clarke. Her love of life was matched only by her love for her family.

Carrol always had a smile or a laugh, loved a good party, and was usually the last to leave. She was an avid tennis player at the St. Albert Tennis Club, enjoyed golf and curling, and was a passionate world traveler. She was happiest with the sun on her face and a cold beer in her hand.

She leaves behind her three daughters: Tracy Clarke, Nancy Neil, and Susan Langstaff (Kent); and her cherished grandchildren: Danica, Ty, Shayna (Ben), Kiera, and Callie. She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Mary Woolley; her son, John; and her husband of 63 years, Richard “Dick” Clarke.

The family would like to thank the staff at Memory Lane at River Ridge for their care and compassion for our mom. Our deepest gratitude also goes to Mom’s companion, Jenn (with Family Friend Inc.), for her loving and compassionate care and for sharing adventures with her.

Over the years, dementia may have taken some of her memories, but it never took her smile or cheerful spirit.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made at [email protected]

Our family will celebrate her life at a party on a warm summer day.
