Peacefully, Barry Breadner passed away on Tuesday, December 3, at the age of 87 years. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Jillian (Vince), his daughter-in-law Holly, and his grandchildren, Lindsay (Pete), Sam (Kelley), Ryan, Hanna, Joseph, and Katelina, as well as his great-grandchildren Evelyn, Grace, and Hayley. He was predeceased by his parents Helen (Hollingshead) and Gordon Breadner, his brothers Allister (Judy), Wayne (Annamay) and both sons Eric and Colin. He will be dearly missed by his friends in the community of St. Albert.
Barry was always passionate about making a difference in his community and served as an Alderman for the City of St. Albert for two terms, from 1974 to 1980. He worked diligently to contribute to the leadership of others at both the municipal and provincial levels.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm in St. Albert at the Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive. A private family interment will follow in Northern Lights Cemetery. A link for virtual live viewing can be found on their website for those unable to attend in person.
