Mary Lou passed away on June 19, 2024. She came from a family of eight siblings. She was predeceased by her oldest sister Annette Sommerfeldt of Stony Plain, AB.
Mary Lou is survived by her two sisters: Rose Petruckik of Barrhead, AB and Judy Pickrell of Cochrane, AB; her five brothers: Ron Fluet of Barrhead, AB, Mickey Fluet of Barrhead, AB, Dave Fluet of Sherwood Park, AB, Ken Fluet of Athtabasca, AB and Don Fluet of Whitecourt, AB.
She is also survived by her husband of 49 years, Gerald; and her two sons Scott and Ryan.
Mary Lou loved her family, enjoyed gardening, and took great pride in her back and front yard where she was happiest. She looked forward each spring so she could get to all the greenhouses and get an early start on the planting season. She would spend hot summer nights relaxing in the backyard admiring her plants and flowers. She will be deeply missed.
At Mary Lou’s request, no formal funeral will be held.
