We are sad to announce the passing of our father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, Jean Belair.
Jean’s passion was everything aviation and military, if it had wings Jean could both build it and fly it.
Jean had a career in the Federal Civil Service and the Office of Commissionaire’s. In and around his career, he served in the Army, Navy and Air Force. He retired with the rank of Captain in the Air Force Reserve and wore his uniform with tremendous pride.
Jean leaves to mourn his daughter Nicole (Allan), grandsons Zach (Kayla) and Josh (Cassy) and two beautiful great grand children. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Claire, who he missed every day. It provides us with great comfort knowing they are now reunited.
Jean passed away peacefully at the Kipnes Center for Veterans, and a very special thank you goes out to all the staff who provided Jean with such wonderful care and beautiful send off.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, April 22 at the Kipnes Center for Veterans, 4470 McCrae Ave NW, Edmonton, lunch and refreshments to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kipnes Centre for Veterans in Edmonton.
