1934 - 2024
It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Violet (Vi) Irene Adolf on July 28, 2024. Born on November 30, 1934, in Winnipeg, MB, Vi's journey came to a peaceful end at her care home residence in St. Albert, AB, at the age of 89. Vi's warmth and spirited nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She navigated the challenges of Alzheimer's disease in her final years.
She was a devoted mother and survived by Rick (Pam) Adolf, Leslie Adolf, and Jeff (Tracy) Adolf. Vi was a proud grandmother to Ryan, Brayden, and Jaelyn. She is also survived by her sister Shirley (Cal) Alexander, nephews Scott (Sharilyn) Alexander and Trevor (Daynna) Alexander.
Vi was the beloved wife of the late Roy Adolf. She was also a cherished sister to her late siblings, Lloyd (Marcella) Marks, Lane (Laurie) Furlonger, Joan (Ralph) Jenkins.
The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Mair and all the nursing staff at the Citadel Care Centre for their care and compassion for Vi over the last 7 years. A private family service will be held to honour Vi's life and memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honour to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories or Transitions Rehabilitation Association of St. Albert and District.
