SFX High School – The St. Albert Skyhawks tipped off a new era as 4A provincial contenders by winning the 16th annual Mike Dea Classic.

The St. Albert Raiders entertain the Maple Leafs tonight in the Alberta Midget AAA Hockey League. Game time is 7:45 p.m. at Akinsdale Arena. The Raiders (10-7-3) are 4-1-1 after losing three in a row.

The Austrian Eagles take flight at their first Olympic Winter Games since 2002 with Emanuel Viveiros at the controls. The St. Albert hockey product will coach the Austrian national team at its 13th Olympic appearance.

Duncan Maguire of the St. Albert Rugby Football Club was added to Team Canada 7’s line-up for the Port Elizabeth tournament this weekend at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
