The Raiders have a series this Saturday and Sunday against the Edmonton Canadians. 

This Sunday the Riders are set to take on the Falcons in Fort Saskatchewan, while the 49ers welcome the Fort McMurray Ravens to Larry Olexiuk field. 

The Spirits will take on Ardrossan tonight (Thursday) at Emerald Hill. The Skyhawks will look to get into the win column on Friday as they welcome St. Francis Xavier to Larry Olexiuk Field. The Bulldogs game against the Salisbury Sabres goes this Friday at Larry Olexiuk field.

St. Albert product Max Hartman got to check off an item on his bucket last week.

“One of the biggest things that I want is to be that kind of role model for football in St. Albert,” said Philip. “It's awesome for these young kids to see that it is possible coming out of St. Albert ... just put your head down, get your school done, and then it’ll pay off."

Rugby, dodgeball, and volleyball were on tap for the festival's first time in the city.

Tryouts continue this week at the Jarome Iginla Arena with a practice this Thursday and a final scrimmage on Saturday. 

This was Young’s second experience, having played for the national team in Rio for the 2016 Games.
