Currently, incumbent NDP MLA Marie Renaud is in the lead in the St. Albert riding with 1,373 votes counted for her so far. The UCP's Angela Wood has 802 votes, with two out of 19 polls reporting so far. 

The UCP's Dale Nally has earned 1,235 votes out of the 1,969 votes reported so far in the race, or 62.7 per cent of the votes cast. The NDP's Karen Shaw has 669 votes so far, or 34 per cent of the votes cast.

St. Albert's youth and seniors' advisory committees are looking to be more involved in city decision making moving forward, as both of the committee's future will be decided by council next month.

St. Albert city council approved changes to two ongoing city projects on May 16, which means a building downtown will soon be demolished and the planned $5 million renovation of the RCMP detachment will be scaled down.
