Open Farm Days highlights camel cousin

A man charged with shooting a 16-year-old who trespassed on his property will appear in St. Albert court on Aug. 26. Jim (James) Bregin, 84, last appeared in Morinville court on July 4 for a bail hearing. He was denied bail and is still in custody.

Police said a 24-year-old man has died while fighting the Jasper National Park wildfire.

Evacuees will be able to get updates on the wildfire situation and answers to their questions from the provincial government, Alberta Wildfire and other government officials.

On Friday (Aug. 2), the hot and dry weather helped increase fire behaviour, with the activity picking up around Edith and Annette lakes and on Pyramid Bench. Fire crews and helicopter bucketing quickly suppressed this activity.
