Do you enjoy children? Take part in this traditional French winter carnival, Wednesday, Aug. 11 at Edmonton Garrison. This is a celebration of francophone culture with French food treats for children and art activities and games to participate in. Assist with the crafts, food or games stations. Being bilingual is an asset but not necessary. This is a perfect opportunity for French immersion students.
Help this organization make a difference in the fight against impaired driving by volunteering at its golf tournament, Thursday, Aug. 12 at Wolf Creek Golf Course. Many different positions to choose from. Transportation will be provided if needed.
This special event features professionally decorated homes and gardens in St. Albert that are open to the public for self-guided tours. Be a greeter at a home for a three-hour shift. Event takes place Aug. 12 to 15.
Do you have experience in marketing and strong communication skills? Assist this organization to identify possible sponsors and to communicate with them. This project runs Aug. 1 to Feb. 1.
Help raise funds and awareness for the fight against diabetes by selling 50/50 tickets at a series of four Edmonton Capitals baseball games at Telus Field. Event dates are Aug. 19, 20, 21 and 22 with a time commitment of three or four hours per shift. Must be minimum 18 years of age. Meal and parking provided.
Come out, enjoy some wonderful vintage cars and support a great cause. This community event happens Aug. 3 to 7 in St. Albert and raises funds for diabetes research and education. Volunteer at the Old Time Drive-in Movie & Carnival evening on Thursday, Aug. 5 and help to take tickets, operate carnival games, do face painting or work security.
Serve on the Harvest of Hope committee and help to prepare for the event doing duties such as picking up auction items, helping sell tickets or marketing the event. Alternatively, you can assist with setting up the venue and event day activities on Friday, Sept. 24.
Do something amazing in one weekend and make a change in yourself, in your community and in the world. Many volunteers needed in many different roles for this event Aug. 7 and 8 at Rundle Park, including set-up and take down, welcome team, shuttle monitors, registration packet distribution and donations processing, hydration stations, traffic control and event flow. This is a perfect family volunteer opportunity as well as a great one for groups and clubs to volunteer together.
