The weather is expected to warm up this week.

You’re not going to believe it.

Will you even read the rest of this story if you were told there is a 30 C high on the horizon?

Environment Canada sees some serious post-summer heat in the forecast for St. Albert this week.

Currently, it’s a pleasant 11.2 C with a light air of 8 km/h out of the southwest at the Villeneuve weather station and fog patches that should dissipate later this morning.

Now, what comes from the southwest, other than Canucks fans? Warm air.

Today’s high is expected to be 21 C, but the mercury won’t get there until 6 p.m. The temperature will remain a delightful 17 C even at 11 p.m. under clear conditions before dropping just a bit Tuesday morning. That’s when the fun begins, with sunny conditions and just a slight breeze driving the high to 25 C.

The sun is expected to stick around all week with sunny conditions pushing the mercury up to a forecast high of 30 C on Wednesday, which we can all wait to see to believe.

The overnights look to remain pretty clear this week, with lows of 14 C Monday and Tuesday and seasonal single-digit values later in the week.

Hello, autumn. Hello, indeed.
