Some clouds are expected to break up the sunny conditions starting around 3 p.m.

Sunny conditions are expected all week in St. Albert.

The sun will put up a good fight in this last week of summer but make no mistake, the single-digit overnight lows are here to stay.

This year, the Canadian Country Music Awards may have formed its own autumnal equinox. Can’t we just get one more week of the warm stuff?

Currently it’s 10 C with a light air of 8 km/h out of the south at the Villeneuve weather station. Environment Canada expects the temperature to climb to a high of 21 C today before settling in for a “close the damn windows, Frank” overnight low of 6 C, even 3 C in some areas.

Some clouds are expected to break up the sunny conditions starting around 3 p.m. The clouds are expected to remain until 6 a.m. Tuesday, when the mercury will climb to a high of 23 C. Similar conditions will persist for the rest of the week, with another high of 23 C expected Wednesday and 19 C Thursday and Friday.

Overnight lows alternate between 6 C and 9 C. Rain and feeble highs in the tweens could be in the cards this weekend, but in weather forecast terms, that’s eons in the future and impossible to guarantee.
