Major league wind chills and more flurries are on the horizon for St. Albert.
The forecast from Environment Canada sees a high of -13 C for Wednesday. It won’t take much of a breeze, just 15 km/h, to push the wind chill to -22 in the morning and with some help from the mix of sun that will poke through the clouds, ease off to -16 in the afternoon.
The clouds will take over in the evening, increasing around midnight and manifesting a 60 per cent chance of flurries through overnight. The low will be -20 C, wind chill -24.
Thursday’s high of -16 C will feel more like -24 in the morning and no better than -20 in the afternoon, so it’s time to make friends with merino if you haven’t already.
The chance of flurries sticks around for the weekend, running between 40 and 60 per cent Friday and Saturday.
