St. Albert weather: Flaking out for the weekend

Much of the white stuff is expected to fall over the coming days in St. Albert.

The temperature begins its march downward this evening. Today’s high of 0 C will feel more like -7 with the wind chill in the morning, according to Environment Canada.

Winds up to 20 km/h from the east and gusting to 40 km/h overnight will drive the low to -8 C, -15 with the wind chill.

As much as four centimetres of snow is expected to fall today. The same amount is expected Friday. While the precipitation falls, the temperature is expected to hold steady at -7 C, with the wind chill making it feel more like -17.

Periods of snow will persist through to Saturday as the temperature continues to plummet, high -11 C, overnight low -23 C.

Sunday is still expected to be sunny with the high climbing to just -22 C, and the overnight low sinking to -28 C under clear skies.
