Environment Canada can’t seem to quite make up its mind, save that it’s cold and some form of moisture is likely to fall from the sky over St. Albert, if it hasn’t already.

Currently it’s -1.7 C with a windchill of -9 driven by a 30 km/h moderate to fresh breeze out of our old friend the northwest.

The weather agency is forecasting a 70 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries, just to cover the bases, this morning, dropping to 30 per cent until at least 8 p.m. tonight, with the wind gusting up to 40 km/h over the same period.

The overnight low is forecast to be -6 with the wind chill effect making it feel more like -8.

The temperature is expected to inch up to zero and hold steady during the day, with a wind chill of -5 starting around the end of the business day.

The sky is expected to clear overnight leading to a sunny but chilly Tuesday, with a similar wind chill of -9 expected to help those last few leaves along to the ground.
