St. Albert Trail to be closed again

St. Albert Trail will be completely closed in both directions on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. from the Hebert/Gervais intersection to 156 Street/Campbell Road.

St. Albert Trail will be completely closed in both directions on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. from the Hebert/Gervais intersection to 156 Street/Campbell Road.

The closure is to allow workers to erect a sign bridge structure across the full eight lanes of the Trail. The closure will complete the project that was originally scheduled for Oct. 30, which was delayed due to a misalignment of the flange structure.

A single lane road closure will begin Saturday at about 8 p.m. in order to set up the equipment needed for the sign construction.

During the road closure on St. Albert Trail, motorists can use the following detours:

Northbound:

Primary Route: Campbell Road to Boudreau Road to Hebert Road and back to St. Albert Trail.

Secondary Route: 156 Street to 137 Avenue, head west to 170 Street, and head north on 170 Street/Gervais Road back to St. Albert Trail.

Southbound:

Primary Route: Gervais Road/170 Street to 137 Street, head east to St. Albert Trail.

Secondary Route: Hebert to Boudreau to Campbell and back to St. Albert Trail.
