A St. Albert fast food staple will close its doors for good on June 25.
The Taco Time at 18 Muir Drive -- the fast food chain's only location in St. Albert -- opened in 1989.
A representative from Taco Time told the Gazette that the building's landlord decided not to renew the restaurant's lease and instead opted to open a daycare at the location.
"Our development team is working very hard at that moment to find suitable location for our brand to reopen in St. Albert," the representative said.
Taco Time first ventured into the Canadian market back in 1979, when the franchise opened a location in Lethbridge.
