St. Albert Place will be closed during the first week of September because of construction and facility upgrades, the city announced in a news release.

There will be no access to the building from Aug. 28 at 11 p.m. until Sept. 5. It will re-open on Sept. 6 at 7 a.m., and all in-person programs and services will be unavailable during the closure.

Some of those services include front counter in-person services at customer service, taxation and utilities, planning and engineering, community services and the Arden Theatre box office. Residents will be able to access those services by email or phone during the closure.

The Musee Heritage Museum, St. Albert Public Library, Visual Art Studios, and W.A.R.E.S. will also be closed during construction.

"The St. Albert Place temporary closure is due to essential lifecycle and facility repair work including electrical that will impact lighting and power in the facility. We appreciate everyone's understanding and patience as we complete this final phase of work," the news release said.

Some programs and services will continue as scheduled, including the Arden Theatre Plaza Series outdoor event on Aug. 28, the Arden Theatre show on Sept. 5, and the St. Albert Farmers' Market on Aug. 30.

Residents can view the St. Albert Place Temporary Closure page as it will be updated with details as they become available.
