St. Albert’s Sarasota Homes is one of four recipients of the 2012 New-Home Buyers’ Choice Award for non-production builders.
Along with Sarasota Homes, Cobblestone Master Builder, Zetsen Master Builder and Park Royal Homes were jointly named as co-winners of the award. The award is for those homebuilders who turned over fewer than 50 homes between July 2010 and October 2011. Results were based upon a customer-satisfaction study conducted by J.D. Power & Associates of California.
“The award was independently conducted for any builders that belong to the Alberta New Home Warranty Program. The survey was given to home buyers four months after they moved in,” said Michelle Fogolin, who is a design consultant for Sarasota Homes, which is owned by her parents Janet and Gary Acheson.
Homeowners were asked to complete a lengthy six to eight-page survey and asked to evaluate their builder in 10 areas. The new owners were asked to describe how ready their home was when they moved in and they were asked pertinent questions about the construction, site team, the workmanship and the home’s design.
In addition, the owners were asked to describe overall satisfaction and whether they would remain loyal to the homebuilder.
“This is the only award that measures customer satisfaction and it is the first time we have won it,” Fogolin said. “It’s not a measurement by other builders, but instead is from our customers and it’s for every member of our Sarasota team. It means a great deal to all of us.”
