St. Albert Fire Services deployed to Slave Lake area to assist with wildfires

St. Albert Fire Services have been deployed to Slave Lake area to support Slake Lake community impacted by wildfires, the city announced this afternoon in a news release.

The request to St. Albert was submitted by the Government of Alberta's Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) on June 1. A lieutenant and firefighter, along with a tactical water tanker, left at 9:00 a.m. on June 2 for a seven day rotation.
