Morinville RCMP are looking for information related to an armed robbery on Sunday evening. RCMP received a complaint of robbery at 9:45 p.m. at the Mac’s store on 100 Street in Morinville. A man entered the store brandishing a pocket knife.

RCMP received a complaint of robbery at 9:45 p.m. at the Mac’s store on 100 Street in Morinville. A man entered the store brandishing a pocket knife. He was wearing sunglasses, a black toque and had a red bandana over his mouth and nose. The suspect stole cigarettes and cash before fleeing on foot. No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect is described as tall with a slim build. Anyone information should contact the Morinville RCMP at 780-939-4520 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

St. Albert RCMP are reminding drivers of the dangers of speeding following an incident where a driver was caught travelling twice the posted speed limit.

On Oct. 27 at approximately 2:37 p.m., St. Albert Traffic Services were conducting a patrol in the area of Campbell Road and Anthony Henday Drive. An SUV was observed to be travelling 140 km/hr. in a 70 zone.

The 23-year-old male driver was charged with speeding and will appear in St. Albert Provincial Traffic Court in January. Police are not releasing the name of the driver.
