Trixie, Retriever mix, 2 years old

Hi everyone. My name is Trixie and I am a two-year-old retriever mix looking for just the right home. I came to NASAP some months ago after being rescued from a very neglectful situation.

I am a very friendly girl with a sweet personality. Nobody knows exactly what happened to me in my old life but sometimes I do get scared when meeting new people. I need a new owner with enough dog experience to be able to help me overcome my fears.

I am very happy in my foster home living as an indoor/outdoor dog on a fenced acreage. Teddy, another NASAP dog, lives here too and we have a great time together tearing around the field playing. I trust my foster mom implicitly and I enjoy hanging out with her as she goes about her chores. I am much more relaxed now that I've been here a while and I will greet people with much less anxiety, sometimes asking for pets and play. I like having another relaxed and happy dog around to help me learn to trust people. My foster mom says I'm a lovely dog who just needs someone willing to work with me in the situations which frighten me, like initial meetings with certain people. I am already so much better and I think that in the correct home I can become an even better dog.

Please, if you think you have the experience to be able to handle me, give me a chance. Or at least call and talk to my foster mom and maybe even come out and meet me to see me for yourself. I am really hoping that the right home will come along for me soon. You can call NASAP on 780-922-0250 or go online to www.nasap.ca and click on the "Adopt Me" link underneath my picture.

Jersey, tuxedo, 18 months old

My name is Jersey and I'm a lovely young female cat with a stunning short black-and-white tuxedo coat. When I came into care everyone thought I was pregnant (even the vet) but it turns out I'm actually just a full-figured gal!

I'm super friendly and full of personality and spunk and will keep you entertained. I'm about one and a half years old. I would love to find an indoor only home with no other pets because honestly, I think that I'll be all you'll ever need!

Jersey's NASAP adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, tattoo, FIV/feline leukemia testing and a post-adoption health check-up. All through September, NASAP's adult cats (over six months of age) are all available for adoption at half the normal fee! Please inquire about adopting a NASAP cat like Jersey today.
