Butch was a six-week-old cold and scared little puppy when he first came to NASAP. He had been found sitting by the side of the road at midnight, shivering from the cold. How he got there will always be a mystery. When Butch first came into care he was a very demanding and vocal little puppy. He was happiest when being carried around and constantly sought out human contact. If he couldn't see his foster mom, he would cry out, very loud. He has now been with us for a month and has grown into an extremely handsome and personable young puppy. As we continue to observe him, we wonder if he may have some Weimaraner in him as he shares a lot of that breed's traits. He has gained in confidence and is a real joy to have around. He amuses us constantly. He gets along great with the dogs he lives with and is well socialized with both dogs and people. He is a typical mischievous puppy — he gets into things like shoes and wires but he listens well and will cease what he is doing when reprimanded. He is still a vocal boy and will bark in excitement when playing or if another dog has a toy he wants. He needs an owner who has owned large dogs before and who knows how to make sure that Butch knows who the boss is. He is on the way to being housetrained. And he will stay in his crate — he seems to prefer a wire one — without getting too upset, though he does cry for a little while. At nighttime, he is spoiled and sleeps with us on the bed. He cuddles up and doesn't move all night long. If you would like to meet or simply learn more about this lovely puppy, please call NASAP at 780-922-0250. Or you can go online www.nasap.ca and click on the ‘adopt me’ link underneath his picture. His adoption fee is $300 and covers the cost of his future neuter. He is microchipped and up to date with his shots.
I'm Cubby and don't you think I'm just the sweetest thing you have ever seen? I'm about six months old with a gorgeous white medium-haired coat and beautiful golden eyes. My foster parents say my coat feels like angora! I was originally rescued with my siblings Anne, Parcheesi and Angus and though I was initially a little timid, I'm now brave and enjoy playing and snuggling with my siblings. I really love attention and once you get me going, I have a very loud motorboat purr. So if you want a loving soft ball of fur for the cold winter months and forever after, I'm your girl. Cubby's NASAP adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, tattoo, FIV/Feline leukemia testing and a post adoption health check-up. Please inquire about adopting Cubby!
