Hi everyone, they call me Salome (Sally for short). I am a young female hound mix who ended up in the pound and is now in a NASAP foster home in Beaumont. I have settled down very well in my foster home and get along great with the three dogs there and the cat. I am a friendly, affectionate and smart dog, well mannered, housetrained and crate-trained. My foster mom says I really haven't put a foot wrong since I've been here. I have lots of energy and will need regular exercise in my new home. I need a bit of work on my leash manners but I'm smart and will learn fast. A course of obedience classes would be a great idea — although I already know the “sit," "down" and "shake a paw" commands, a brush up wouldn't hurt. I will need a fenced yard since I enjoy being outside. If there is another dog to play with outside, all the better. I am spayed and have had my shots and I'm all ready to take visitors! If you would like to meet me, then please call NASAP at 780-922-0250 and ask about Salome.

Annie was a very shy 18-month-old orange and white female tabby cat when she escaped out the door of her NASAP foster home in Beaumont on March 30, 2008. While several attempts were made to locate her including posters in the neighbourhood, an alert on the NASAP website and a petlynx report, there was no sign of her at all. It was like she had disappeared into thin air! We waited and hoped for a sign of her for the next two years. Luckily she had been spayed and tattooed before she escaped, so we knew there was a faint hope that she would someday be found and returned to NASAP. Amazingly, we just received word last week that Annie has been found. Beaumont RCMP and animal control officers located Annie, still in Beaumont after all this time. She is in remarkably good shape despite being out in the elements for the past two years. She has a touch of frostbite on one ear, but overall she is in very good condition. Annie is three-and-a-half years old now and is available for adoption. She is looking for an indoor-only forever home with no further outdoor adventures. Annie is still shy at first, but she is also unbelievably loving and affectionate. She would enjoy a quiet, mature home where she can really come into her own. Annie's NASAP adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, tattoo, FIV/Feline leukemia testing and a post adoption health check-up. Please inquire about adopting Annie!
