A female moose made its way into St. Albert Tuesday morning, prompting a chase between the cow, RCMP and Alberta Fish & Wildlife officers.
Despite some angry behaviour, the cow was tranquilized in a park near J.J. Nearing School.
Fish & Wildlife officers then prepared to transport the moose out of St. Albert north of city limits.
The moose did regain consciousness after its release, officers say.
