In a salute to National Indigenous Peoples Week, Red Sky Performance presents a virtual performance of the award-winning Mistatim across all provinces and territories on Friday, June 19.
Directed by Sandra Laronde, this fast-paced western tale is of a true friendship that develops through the taming of a wild horse. It combines dance, theatre, storytelling and masks to create an energetic experience.
Under a prairie sky, a simple wooden fence separates Calvin on his ranch and Speck on the reservation. In many ways their lives are worlds apart until a wild horse brings them together in friendship.
Mistatim plays out in Alberta at 12 p.m. MDT. Register for this free online event here.
