Morinville RCMP located a 76-year-old man on Friday who was reported missing from a Legal seniors home on Wednesday morning.
Police issued a news release last Friday evening stating that Joseph Alfred Chabot had been found in good health and returned to his home. There were no details released about where Chabot was found or his whereabouts since Tuesday evening, when he was last seen at the home.
Since Chabot went missing, police performed an extensive ground search of the area and an aerial search of Legal and the surrounding communities and didn’t find any sign of the man. At the time police suspected that Chabot may have wandered off or was with friends.
“Morinville RCMP thanks all assisting agencies, media, and members of the public that assisted in locating Mr. Chabot,” said Staff Sgt. Mac Richards in a statement.
