Council doesn't understand what residents want

So our city council has come up with another idiotic idea. This time it will try to force us to save the environment through garbage collection. Council is oblivious to the fact that its demands are not what anyone actually wants.

So our city council has come up with another idiotic idea. This time it will try to force us to save the environment through garbage collection.

Their vision of a perfect garbage collection joins Servus Credit Union Place as another monstrous tax increase upon us. They are demanding that the homeowner pay 40 per cent more for a 50 per cent reduction in service as well as the inconvenience of having your garbage piling up every two weeks, attracting whatever vermin are nearby. Other municipalities have similar existing collection systems currently in place and happily working very well while still collecting regular garbage every week and at a cheaper cost. It was reported that some fool in public works stated that we have to be educated by them to understand this new system.

The best education that I see on the horizon is the civic election where we can replace these pompous, egocentric, finger-wagging hypocrites with people whose heads are not filled with their own importance and actually have a life.
