Q: What is your primary motivation to seek elected office?
My motivation for seeking the office of mayor is simply that I think that I can serve the residents of St. Albert more effectively than any of the other candidates running. If there was someone else that was planning on running that could do a better job, I would be supporting them. As mayor I have to make your problems mine, work long hours after everyone else is at home and represent people when no one else will. I am willing to do this so we have a better community.
Q: What skills and experiences have prepared you for this office?
I have served you on council for the past seven years in which I have served on committees, boards and chaired meetings. I have worked as a budget officer for the provincial government, owned my own business here in St. Albert and most recently been employed as a business consultant for a Fortune 500 company. I have received my Bachelors of commerce degree and a land use planning certificate from the U of A. I understand the value of a dollar, how to serve the public, how to budget, run a business, how government works and I would like to use these skills to serve you.
Q: What do you think are the most important issues to the community at large?
St. Albert's biggest challenge is a good one and it is to maintain our place in the capital region and Canada as one of the best places to live and raise a family. To do so we will have to ensure that we are spending our money wisely and providing good value to residents in St. Albert with the services we provide. Secondly; empowering St. Albertans to make some of these value decisions directly through plebiscite can also build a great community. Specifically; if we want to pay for a second library, when we build other infrastructure such as a pool or rink, how we manage traffic, how we protect green space and how much we charge you to live here and how much of a say you should have in these decisions will all be election issues.
Q: What specific goals will you work to achieve if elected?

Some of the Highlights are:
Create an efficiency bonus for staff and residents, reduce our water bill by 10 per cent, use the internal auditor to find 5 per cent budget savings, reduce downtown infrastructure spending and increase infrastructure spending in your neighborhood, protect park space from development, reduce photo radar use and increase manned enforcement, turn St. Albert Trail into the #1 commercial corridor in north Edmonton, consider a zero waste industrial park, zone a new 10-acre park, create a 10-acre dog park, sign an agreement that deals with stray cats to name a few.
