Market Buds: Education for Little Ones
This market isn’t just about shopping; it’s about connection, exploration, and fun. A highlight for families is the Market Buds program, which offers a chance for children to connect with the local food system through conversations with farmers, hands-on educational activities, tastings, gardening, exercise classes, arts and crafts, and more. Activities are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will take place at a tent in Millennium Park from 1-3 pm, located behind the market near the Legion entrance. Participation is free, but supplies are limited, so arriving early is recommended to secure your spot. Parents or guardians are required to stay and supervise their children for the entire duration of each activity, so please plan accordingly.
