A brush fire in north Edmonton is throwing plumes of black smoke into the air as firefighers battle to keep the blaze away from Edmonton homes.

The on ramp to 127 Street from eastbound Anthony Henday Drive is currently closed. Traffic on Anthony Henday is currently slow moving due to all the emergency vehicles present.
