Edmonton police have charged Keith James Landry, 40, with second degree murder after the death of St. Albert teen Broden Radomske.

Radomske died Tuesday night after he was attacked near 137 Avenue and 184 Street in Edmonton.

He was walking with his mother at the time of the attack, and his mother said he was stabbed in the neck, according to the Edmonton Journal. He died on the scene.

Investigators believe the youth and accused were known to one another, according to an Edmonton Police Service press release.

Radomske was a Grade 9 student at Lorne Akins Junior High.

Lorne Akins Junior High and Hillgrove School, where Radomske was once a student, have additional counsellors on hand to help students who may be in crisis.
