There's a new entertainment act at Edmonton Eskimo games and it's called juggling. Move aside country singers, meet Jugglin' Jordan. Chuckle as you might, Jordan Imgrund-Harvey, 15, is serious about the aerial art.

Art lovers in the city have their pick of special events to attend this weekend. For starters, the Visual Arts Studio Association is hosting a one-night-only Halloween party on Friday evening.

Anastasia at Arden Theatre A late addition to the Arden Theatre season is Ballet Jörgen's Anastasia. Choreographer Bengt Jörgen explores the desires, dreams and affections of Anastasia, the daughter of the dethroned Tsar Nicholas of Russia.

The next Arden offering is a mix of folk meets indie soul.

Art Gallery of St. Albert Peter Ivens has brought Inside Painting to the gallery. Until Saturday. Ivens will also conduct a three-day Acrylic Colour Masterclass Workshop at the St. Albert Place Visual Arts Studios on closing weekend.

It’s a race to the thrilling conclusion for the St. Albert Readers’ Festival this year. In barely more than two weeks’ time, local literature lovers have been treated to visits by nine nationally and internationally-renowned authors.

DETAILS STARFest tickets are on sale now. With a few exceptions, all presentations will be in Forsyth Hall at the library and will cost $5. Tickets for events at the Arden Theatre are $10 each.

It’s a big deal to celebrate the 200 th birthday of anyone, let alone someone who founded a faith devoted to worldwide unity.
