STARFest is bringing a bevy of books and their bestselling authors to the city for its eighth edition this fall. When the St. Albert Readers’ Festival launches on Friday, Sept. 14, it’s doing so as a bit of a homecoming.

St. Albert Chamber Music Society will present five diverse concerts this upcoming season ranging from a trio and opera solo to a couple of quartets and a full chamber orchestra. “I’m very excited about this season.

One of Canada’s strongest men joins the Town of Morinville’s Canada Day festivities to pull a fire truck for the Morinville Food Bank. Scott Wallace, 43, who hails from Chilliwack, B.C., holds the title for the 2016 B.C.’s Strongest Man Competition.
