The partisan shots are starting to frame the third week of the federal campaign that wraps up with election day on Sept. 20.

Trudeau's campaign has been faltering thus far, with polls suggesting the significant lead the Liberals held earlier this year has evaporated. His campaign has been dogged by protesters at multiple stops, but the mob mentality and size of the crowds appear to have increased in recent days.

Questions have arisen over who is organizing and potentially funding the protesters. One man who showed up to heckle Trudeau at an event in Hamilton earlier in the week, turned up the next day at a Trudeau event in Surrey, B.C. He declined to give his name but when asked by reporters if someone was paying him to follow the leader around the country, he said, "Maybe."

“I am running this time as a candidate in the federal election to represent the voice of the average Albertans, the average Canadian, and that's how I see myself,” she said.

"We want to make sure that workers and just everyday people are not left behind. We've seen, with the pandemic, a lot of issues come up within our health-care system, elder care, and with jobs."

Greg Springate said he is running because he feels like his background in finance could be helpful in tackling the federal debt.

“A Conservative government will defend Alberta's interests, including scrapping legislation that has had a real negative impact on this province.”

There is a chance polling places might be in unusual locations to facilitate COVID-19 health measures.

Canadians will vote on Sept. 20.
