I, as one of many members of the St. Albert Senior Citizens’ Club, have spent many hours over the years baking for bake sales, sewing, crocheting, knitting as well as painting and ceramics for our annual fall fairs.

Is Prime Minister Stephen Harper unaware that a majority decision of the House of Commons is the law of the land? To refuse to direct the government to obey the will of Parliament is an attack upon parliamentary democracy.

The gun registry is a worthwhile endeavour. Police deserve the ability to know that a resident or driver owns a gun. This should be our objective. In addition they should be able to remove unregistered guns.

I must say that I found both the tone and content of Jordan Walters’ letter regarding the RCMP in Wednesday’s edition of the St. Albert Gazette to be most disagreeable.
