Provincial government neglected to seek input from municipalities

As Canada's journey toward reconciliation with Indigenous peoples continues, calls for justice from the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls provide something of a roadmap for where we need to go.

While the Alberta conservatives are promoting decorum in the provincial legislature, federal St. Albert-Edmonton MP Michael Cooper appears to have taken the opposite approach.

Free memberships to Servus Place and Fountain Park are off the table for St. Albert residents over the age of 80, but this display of fiscal prudence on the part of council doesn't have us cheering.
