Congratulations and much appreciation go out to the group of people who organized the Pride Picnic in Lion’s Park last Thursday. They did it on short notice and with little money.
I would also like to recognize and support the work that the St. Albert Public School Board and its teachers are doing to support their students who are in GSA groups. The panel discussion they held was a start to build new support after Outloud.
It is great to see that initiatives started by Outloud are not being forgotten. I was impressed by the number of people that came out to the park on a rainy day to show their support of the LGBTQ2S+ community. We as members of the community, our organizations and governments need to support this group of people that are facing so many challenges and so many attacks attacks – some by our government.
