WOLFF, Maurice “Moe” Edwin

Posted

1934 - 2020

With great sadness we announce the passing of Maurice “Moe” Edwin Wolff on April 12, 2020 at the age of 85 years, following a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Moe leaves behind his wife, Sylvia of St. Albert; daughter, Kim (Alex) of Abbotsford, BC; son, Kevin (Tirzah) of Stony Plain and daughter, Rosemary of St. Albert; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also left behind are his two ‘puppy girls’, Mary Jane and Sassy, who will miss their walks with him.

Moe had a long and rewarding career with the RCMP, retiring from K Division in 1994. Not one to sit idle, he returned as a Peace Officer to assist with the implementation of the National DNA Databank. Moe enjoyed his time as Aide de Camp to Alberta Lieutenant Governors Lois Hole and Norman Kwong.

To his St. Albert neighbours, Moe was known as the “the man with the green thumb”.  Passers-by would often stop to take pictures of his garden and it served as a backdrop for wedding pictures. For many years Moe was an active member of St. Albert Parish as an usher and frequent volunteer at fundraising events.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorial Donations be made to Sign of Hope, 12431 Stony Plain Road NW, Edmonton, AB, T5N 3N3 -https://signofhope.cssalberta.ca/ or a charity of one’s choice be made in Moe’s name.

No service by request.
