1955 – 2022

It is with a painful sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Deborah Anne Whitney of St. Albert on Monday, October 24. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother by her family.

Deborah is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, and best friend, William, who was by her side at the end, with her son and brother later present; her children Robert, Kenneth (Pamela); grandchildren Haddie and Holden; her brothers Stephen (Jan) and Alan (Marianne).

Deborah was pre-deceased by her father Anthony.

She was a force for good who loved life and overcame many obstacles, including bipolar

illness and kidney disease, only to be defeated by a stronger and insidious sepsis attack.

Deborah’s beautiful smile and infectious laugh will never be forgotten. She had wanted to pursue nursing but instead embraced motherhood and homemaking, at which she excelled.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive.

Deborah always loved flowers so they are welcome, or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to
