Arthur Alexander Welda, known affectionately as Art by his loved ones, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, at the age of 80 in St. Albert, AB, surrounded by his devoted family. Born on September 26, 1944, in Camrose, AB, Art's gentle demeanor, kindness, and selflessness touched the lives of all who knew him.
He will be lovingly remembered by this children, Brad (Tammy), Hollie (Del); grandchildren, Rod, Asheley, Keltie (Jon), Alyssa (Justin), Brady (Colleen), Jared, Wyatt, Brody, Montana; great-grandchildren: Mariahlynn, Cayde, Adalie, Charlotte, and Kelly. Art's siblings, Susan (Arnie), and Brian (Ruby), also held a special place in his heart, along with his numerous other relatives and friends, and his beloved, Sadie.
Art's beloved wife, Shirley Welda, predeceased him, as did his parents, Rolfe and Margaret, and his brother, Jim.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in St. Albert Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart and Lung Association or the Stollery Children's Hospital.
